Becca Shimmering Skin Perfection - 3 Ways

By this stage, we’re all familiar with my highlighter obsession but although there are quite a few products in my glow-giving rotation, the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors are always a mainstay.

The formula is incredible, the shade range covers pretty much anything you could want and if Jaclyn Hill supports it then you know I’m on board. Today I'm Making a statement that i'm buying everything this brand got to offer next.

I’ve been obsessed with the powder formulations for a while now but I’ve been lucky enough to give the cream and liquid versions of Becca’s beauties for the last couple of weeks – a beautiful glow, delivered three different ways.

POWDER –

The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed formulation has been a favorite of mine for so long now, with my two shades Opal & Jaclyn Hill’s Champagne Pop regularly making an appearance on my cheekbones. The powder is soft and incredibly blendable but definitely not for the faint-hearted with both shades I own definitely bringing the glow factor even with the tiniest amount of product.

I can’t wait to try out Pearl and Rose gold as I can see how it could be perfect for someone with my fair skin but if you want a bright, golden glow, Opal and Champagne Pop should work on pretty much any skin tone.

CREAM –

Of the three formulations, OK I'm not gonna lie I thought it's a blush the Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured products were the ones that I was least familiar with until recently, I have it in the shade Opal*.

I tend to shy away from cream highlighters as a lot of formulas tend to go a little patchy on my skin but a few dots along the cheekbone and I was convinced. The formula is quite thin and soft so it’s incredibly easy to work with, blending out into the skin with ease.

It doesn’t cling to my pores and most importantly, it doesn’t stay too sticky on the skin after application. My tip is to apply this before you’ve set your foundation with powder. The cream is also an incredible one to layer with too, if you really want to up the intensity.

LIQUID –

Glow-givers in liquid form are quickly gaining traction in the beauty world, mainly as a base for make-up – adding glow from the first steps. With the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfect Liquid formula (I have a mini of Moonstone and a full-size of Opal ) a little bit really does go a long way – blended out all over the face it adds an incredible luminosity to the skin, dry-skinned beauty lovers in particular should take note, but it also looks stunning applied with a lighter hand on the cheekbones and on the cupid’s bow.

For me, the powder version will always take the cake but that comes down to my combination-oily skin type. The cream and liquid formulations can take things from dewy to oily a little too quickly on my complexion if I’m not very careful with application but some days, I just can’t resist the glow they give.

When someone asks me for a highlight recommendation, something that would work with their skin tone or skin type, I always recommend checking out the range from Becca – there’s something for everyone.

HAVE YOU TRIED ANY OF THESE FORMULAS?

Stay Toned !
XOXO
