Sephora is amazing and we all wish they would give more free samples. Their own collection in particular always has loads to offer and I never waste an opportunity to visit a Sephora if I am strolling around.
The Sephora Algae Face Mask is designed to purify and detox the skin by getting rid of the impurities that cause the skin to look dull. one of many great options but remember to get what's best for your skin type and what you need it to do.
This mask in particular is a sheet mask and is encased in their foil packaging to stop the mask from drying out. The mask is designed to fit the face like the second skin. It has holes for eyes, nose and mouth which were a pretty good fit for my face.
I put the mask on for around 15-20 minutes as per the instructions and after removing the instructions state to massage the residue into the skin which I did. Once it absorbs into the skin it doesn’t feel sticky. I have to say my skin does look a little brighter and redness reduced. I even had someone at work noticed my skin looked much healthier today!
It was designed to Detoxifying the skin to get rid of impurities that cause dullness for a fresh, radiant complexion.
I’ve been having a hard time sleeping lately so I was especially excited to try out the Algae Eye Mask. These eye masks are available in the same 8 options as the Face Mask, and the Algae one is for tonifying and detoxifying. While that’s definitely something I want on my face, I have less of an issue with needing to tone and eliminate impurities surround my eyes.
The Eye Mask was very relaxing and soothing to use. I did find it helped my dark circles and puffiness a little, and the cooling effect was nice, but I’m not sure I noticed enough of a difference to not just go with the full Face Mask instead.
