When it comes to products that help to create the perfect complexion, Becca is where it’s at. Time and time again, I’ve raved about their base products because they seem to know a thing or two about beautiful base products.
After my success with the Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation formulation. It’s taken me a bit to really make up my mind on whether it worked for me but in the Winter months, I think this could be a winner.
PACKAGING
Plain and simple – this foundation is in a thin tube. Practical for travel because it’s small and unlikely to break and go everywhere.
It also works well to make sure you dispense the right amount of product.
APPLICATION
This is definitely a base that works better with a Beauty Blender than a brush. I’ve tried both ways and finds that the Beauty Blender adds a little more of a natural dew to the foundation but also does a much better job of making the foundation look like skin.
FINISH
The finish is, as you can expect, pretty matte but without looking flat or dull. It’s quite beautiful and particularly appropriate for those with oilier complexions.
Apparently, it has a micro-fine powder in the formulation that absorbs oil and sets the foundation in place.
COVERAGE
I really love the coverage of this one. It covers imperfections and provides a flawless base. I’d call it a medium coverage on myself. It can be worn a little sheerer but building up the coverage gets a little patchy.
WEAR
When first applied, the finish looks beautiful on the skin and it wears well for a couple of hours. My main issue with it came when I wore it on a rather hot day. After a long day out, I found that it had worn away a lot around the nose and chin, looking cakey and quite noticeable on the skin.
But on other days, it’s worn beautifully for hours, with no shine and hardly any of the foundation breaking up on my t-zone.
SHADE
The shade Porcelain is the lightest in the range. It’s quite yellow-toned. There’s a really extensive range of shades, though.
If you have dry skin, if paired with a hydrating base, this could work well.
If you have normal/combination skin, this should work beautifully, as it has done for me, if you make sure not to reach for it on a warm day.
If you have oily skin, and you really struggle with oil breaking up foundation, particularly in your t-zone.
DOES THIS FOUNDATION SOUND LIKE IT WOULD WORK FOR YOU?
Stay Toned !
XOXO
