Today I’m going to talk about the Almond Milk & Honey Soothing & Restoring Body Lotion & Butter by The Body Shop. I’m a big fan of their products but I could never enjoy their body care products: my body is really sensitive when it comes to body lotions, oils, butters, sunscreens etc. I always get itchy, red spots around my armpits or a burning sensation on my arms and legs.
No matter what kind of brand I use, 9 out of 10 products I use on my body don’t fit my skin type. When I heard that The Body Shop released a special line for sensitive/dry skin I had to try it out! Really people, these products changed my whole body care routine!
Soothing & Restoring Body Lotion

The packaging has a simple but clean look, I love how they combined the white/milky packaging with the yellow banner at the front. It represents the milk and honey (aduhhh).
The body lotion is stored in a squeeze tube and the bodybutter in a jar. I’m not sure if all The Body shop body lotions has this but the tube feels so velvety smooth! When I have it in my hand I want to squeeze it immediately.
A little sidenote: the white tube doesn’t gets dirty! I always get annoyed when my beauty items get dirty with makeup of dark stains.
When you imagine almond milk and honey in front of you, this is what you get! The moment I opened the body butter it was like I had a glass of almond milk in my hand and honey dripping in the other hand. I can do this all day with the jar! Sometimes when I used these products for my flatlays I open the jar just to get a good sniff from it. It makes my day.
Anyway, don’t be concerned that the smell is overpowering your whole body. The fragrance is subtle but noticeable when you spread it on your body. After a while the fragrance get softer.

The body butter is super moisturizing! With a lot of other body butters (even the butters from The Body Shop) I experience a tingly sensation on my sensitive skin. With the Almond Milk & Honey range I don’t have this! I use this butter on my legs because they are like the desert and really can use some TLC.
After using the body lotion and butter multiple times, at the moments that my skin was looking okay or being red as a strawberry, I can say that it does magic to my body! I LOVE this range and I never want to use another body lotion or butter in my life, maybe when I hit the 40s I will start using anti-aging products but for now I’m good. I might get the other Almond Milk & Honey items in store because I saw they offer many other goodies from this range!
My skin stays hydrated for at least two days and it looks and feels smooth.
If you’ve read my experience up here you might have a clear picture of what I think about the Almond Milk & Honey: I love them! I love them so much that I might get the other items from this range.
Well, I have never been so much in love with a body lotion or butter so I make it official: The Almond Milk & Honey Body Lotion and Butter are my Holy Grails for my body care!
It may sound a bit too excited but I’m so serious! I really want you to show my skin how terrible it looks but I’m not ready to expose myself this much because I’m not confident about my body. I struggled with all kinds of body issues but believe me: I’m so happy to get to know these products!
