MY THOUGHTS ON THE NEW BENEFIT BROW PRODUCTS

I saved all the product for today after a long week of reviewing many products from Make up to skin care and now I'm pouring it all at once

Beauty brands launch new products all the time and it’s always pretty exciting – a new bunch of things to add to my never-ending wishlist – but when Benefit Cosmetics launch a new line of brow products they go above and beyond.

Beautiful, revamped packaging, innovative additions to an already awesome brow range and you’ll have the whole beauty world lining up. I’ve been lucky enough to trial a couple of the hero products from the collection for a couple of weeks now and thought I should write down my thoughts and let you know which bits to check out.

BENEFIT COSMETICS GOOF PROOF BROW PENCIL IN SHADES 4* – Benefit have released two new retractable brow pencils – Precisely, My Brow has a super fine and precise nib – similar to the ABH Brow Wiz – and Goof Proof has an angled, slightly larger nib . Each with a spoolie on the opposite end. I love both approaches but find this one better for quick and easy definition, the design of the nib means the flat side is large enough to fill in the front part of the brow while the edge is still effective at carving out the tail of the brow. The formula can be a little stiff but warms up quickly on the skin and the pigmentation is subtle yet buildable enough that it’s difficult to go overboard. For a brow beginner or for those that are into the natural-looking brow – this one’s your guy. BENEFIT COSMETICS KA-BROW! IN SHADE 3* – I’ll be the first to admit I’m still a bit of a noob with brow pomades – I’d reach for a pencil any day but Ka-brow has won me over just a little. The teeny brush is hidden in the lid of the product and I find because it’s so petite, it makes the application a little less intimidating. This stuff is seriously pigmented so I make sure to get only the tiniest bit on my brush. I also find if I get a little too heavy-handed, a quick brush through with a spoolie makes everything look more natural, less blocky. The longevity is also a huge appeal for this one – it doesn’t budge all day. If you’re already a fan of brow pomades or like a little more of a bold brow, Ka-Brow is well worth checking out. Shade 3 is a little darker than what I’d normally go for but I reach for this when I’m wanting to go a little bolder so I don’t mind it so much.

BENEFIT COSMETICS GIMME BROW IN SHADE 3* – This volumising fibre gel has been on my to-try list forever and as much as I’d settled on the L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper as a drugstore alternative, the real thing is just as awesome as I’d expected. My brows can look pretty sparse in places, mostly due to how fair they are, so relying only on a bit of brow gel was a scary thought but I’ve been loving brushing a bit through and leaving it at that. Natural, feathery brows with a bit of extra volume and the formula sets them in place all day. I’ve also been using this over the top of the other products. This one could work for just about anyone – those who are after an incredibly quick, natural product or those that want a little somethin’ extra over their pencil or powder products. BENEFIT COSMETICS BROWVO! CONDITIONING PRIMER* – Browvo! is definitely one of the more innovative products in the new collection. I was initially a little confused about what it was meant to achieve but that hasn’t stopped me from actually quite enjoying it. It’s designed to go on before your normal brow products, priming the area and making them look healthier and fuller – it’s a clear jelly-like consistency in a twist up tube, it takes a little while to dry down. I personally don’t see much of an improvement on bare brows but I can totally agree that starting the brow routine with this makes other products apply a little more effectively and I find it also improves the longevity, too. I’ve found that a little goes a long way – applying too much ends in uncomfortable, crusty feeling brows. If you want something incredibly unique from the collection, this is the one for your wish list.

Benefit Cosmetics totally got it right with this collection, in my opinion. You can see the effort that they put in to make every product incredible, down to the very last details such as the packaging and the totally adorable product names. Goof Proof and Gimme Brow have quickly become staples for me and I feel sure there’s something in the range for anyone and everyone. WHICH BENEFIT BROW PRODUCT IS ON YOUR WISHLIST?
