Many I am a palette fiend through and through so I very rarely look twice at single eye shadows but I received the Urban Decay Lounge Eye shadow as part of the Sephora Favorites Superstar gift set which I bought back in which contained so many amazing makeup products.
Urban Decay are my one of my favorite brand when it comes to lip liners but I don’t normally purchase their solo eye shadows as they’re just not as good value as other brand palettes but I now purchased LOUNGE since it was was recommended by my best friend.
The Urban Decay Lounge Eye shadow is described as being a brick red with a green shift which doesn’t sound very appealing but it really is one of the most stunning eye shadows I’ve ever seen, and if you’d like to see it applied to the eyes, there’s some gorgeous photos on this blog here.
The round compact has a gunmetal finish which opens to reveal the eye shadow in a plastic insert which can easily be popped out by pushing the base of the shadow to depot into an Urban Decay customization palette which I’m considering purchasing now I have two solo eye shadows.
I particularly like that the shadows all have a colour coded sticker on the base to show the shade inside the shadow making it nice and easy if you own multiple shades within your collection.
Lounge is a warm reddy toned matte brown, with a green shimmery shift with an amazingly buttery consistency and intense pigmentation which almost looks foiled on the lids. The shade can be applied with a fluffy brush for a subtle greeny purple shift, but when applied with a flat shadow brush it can be packed on for a more intense duo chrome effect depending on what you’re looking for.
I find the intense green can look a little harsh against my skin tone so my favorite way to apply Lounge is over the top of a brown eye shadow either shimmery or matte, as it looks a lot more subtle but I like that I have options on how I can wear it. It’s a shade I’m really enjoying having within my collection and I’m already eyeing up some of the other Urban Decay duo chrome eye shadows from the range as they look equally beautiful especially Fireball.
Stay Toned !
XOXO
